Our Gippsland based signwriting business or “Signshop” in Trafalgar which is known by many as Grant Fowler Signs has been hand painting signs, lines and letters directly onto shopfronts, vehicles, walls and many different uneven surfaces for over 30 years, our traditional hand painted or hand brushed signage is still practised and our handcrafted lettering work is always in demand throughout regional Gippsland and the Latrobe Valley. The look of a handpainted brushed sign is unique and timeless as each signwriter or signpainter is different.

The way they work their brush skills and lay down the lettering on a painted sign will last for many years outdoors and slowly age with a covering of patina. This look is more sort after in years to come as history has shown with a retro or vintage enamel sign being very collectable. Traditional signwriting is a skilled art form, a craft that stands alone with a distinctive retro look that just cannot be reproduced using any modern digitally printed technology. I love my job, the signshop and work is very rewarding.
